175C Clark/Michigan 5 Cy loader nice condition

1985 175C Clark/Michigan loader. Serial number 490A338CAC.

We have owned this loader for several years. We bought this loader from a Volvo dealer that took this 175C in on trade for a new Volvo loader from the original owner. They had several of these 175C that they traded in, this was the last one, they kept it a couple years longer as it was the nicest 175C they had, and it was used to load trucks at their material stock pile yard. The second gear clutches started slipping a little so they bought a new machine. I talked with the original owner and he verified this information when we purchased the machine and said that they recently put new turbo on this machine. The machine has 6625 total hours showing on it. We believe their accuracy we could tell that this machine has been pretty well maintained and greased regularly. Good tight machine.

We rebuilt all the clutch packs in this transmission in 2010 and the transmission works well. It has a 310 hp Cummings NT-855C.  Turbo charged diesel. We did a complete in frame in February 2012 installed a new Cleveite kit including sleeves, pistons, rings, rod and main bearings. Sent heads out to be cleaned and gone through. Machine weighs approximately 57,780 pounds. It has 29.5 -25 radial tires with decent tread. Has a 5.5 cubic yard general-purpose bucket with bolt-on cutting edge. It needs new cutting edge the one on it has a piece broken out of it. It is a bolt on cutting edge. The machine has front and rear lights, strobe light, wipers, and good heater.  The driver’s side window has some cracking, all other glass is good.

We used this loader to load sand from our pit it has front and rear limited slip differentials, lots of power. It loads sand excellently and fills the bucket right up very quickly. In winter when we get heavy snow we use it for plowing snow and it worked very well.  This loader is a big machine, yet small enough to drive down the road or load on a low boy trailer to move. It is great for loading dump trucks & semi dump trailers. We rebuilt the front brake master cylinder and the front brakes work well. We have a brand new kit for the rear master cylinder that needs to be installed. The emergency brake works good. The paint was original on the machine it was faded and worn off in areas so we power washed, sanded, and painted with Nelson equipment paint (it the best paint we have used it very durable and holds up from fading very well) also has new decals. This is a nice machine it looks, runs, and works well.
